American Toaster Bath
During extreme weather, my television glitches creating fragmented imagery. I wait, looking to capture people in the glitch. I photograph the unpredictable images as they randomly appear in my living room, documenting the beautiful, grotesque, pixelated mosaic of color. The portraits meltdown and remind me to give the grace I want to receive as the human condition presses on through a continuum of recycled but modernized events.
In this series, I am looking to capture the internal experience of a country gripping with cascading collective trauma, including historical trauma that have not healed. As we doom-scroll through a plethora of information and misinformation, we risk the Mental health consequences of media based exposure to compounding stressors that could be profound and extensive.
